A sauna and cold plunge pool in Limassol, among the towers and the marina
A skyline of residential towers, a marina, large villas in the hills behind and a hotel strip along the shore. The first questions are the same in every one of them: weight, consent and heat.

Tower terraces: weight, consent and a crane
A private terrace on a Limassol tower can hold a two-seat cabin and a free-standing ice bath or a small plunge pool, if the structure and the management allow it. Three things decide: the engineer's note on the slab (a 1,100-litre pool is over a tonne), the management company's consent and a plan for the crates, which arrive by crane or by goods lift. We provide the weights, the footprint and the loads on one page for each conversation.
Humid heat and the chiller's air
On the coast the air is hot and thick, and a chiller on a terrace is in the sun and in its own exhaust. We size it for a 38–40 °C ambient, put it in the shade with a louvred screen and an air path, and insulate the pipes against condensation. A plunge pool in direct sun gets a cover or a shade sail. See cold plunge in a Mediterranean summer.
Limassol itself is not a station in the WMO normals that Cyprus submitted. The two either side, Larnaka airport and Paphos airport (1991–2020), give July mean daily maxima of 33.0 and 30.4 °C. We take the hotter figure for the design and keep a margin above it.
Villas in the hills
Behind the city, villas with large terraces and views of the sea take a garden cabin of six seats and a hot-and-cold pair. Mountain air is a little cooler in summer and a good deal cooler in winter, so the cabin can be used for more of the year than the coast suggests. Access roads are steep and bendy: we ask about them first.
Hotels, clubs and clinics
The hotel strip and the new wellness-minded developments in Limassol are the commercial side. Courtyard cabins, roof pools and plant rooms are the usual formats; see boutique hotels, gyms and studios and developers and architects.
Sauna prices in Limassol, and what they leave out
A bare number tells you little. Ours come in ranges with what is in them: a two-seat glass cabin is indicatively €7,100–9,700, a four-seat one €9,700–14,000, and a round plunge pool €8,400–15,000. Left out: the structure, the electrics, permits and VAT. See the price list.

Three briefs from the towers and the hills
What goes wrong on a tower, and how we avoid it
| What happens | Why | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| The crane day slips | no one asked the building about the date | book the day with the management company before the order |
| The chiller struggles in August | a closed screen and a west wall | shade, a louvred screen and an air path |
| The pipes drip | cold pipes in humid air | insulate, drain, check the condensate route |
| The terrace does not take the weight | a slab not designed for water | an engineer's note and a lighter option |
Crates in a vertical street
A tower is a street turned on its end. Crates go up in the goods lift, in pieces that fit it, or by crane to the roof, and the lift has hours, booking and a protection plan for the lobby. We list the dimensions and the weights of every crate in the layout so the building manager can book the lift, and we plan the assembly in the order the panels arrive.
The marina, the hotel strip and a polished finish
Along the shore the standard is high and the salt is real. Stainless steel is 316, glass is clean and the finish is quiet: pale ash, pale stone, no chrome. Hotels need the plant in a dedicated room with a log sheet and an air path, and glass that staff can see into.
Five questions for the management company
- May a cabin and a pool be installed on a private terrace, and is there a form?
- What is the weight limit of the slab, and who can confirm it?
- Which days and hours may the crane or the goods lift be used?
- Are there rules on noise from a chiller, and on finishes visible from outside?
- Who is liable if water escapes, and what insurance is required?
Can I put an ice bath on a tower terrace?
Often, if the slab takes the weight and the management company consents. A free-standing tub is the simplest route.
Does a plunge pool work in Limassol's summer?
Yes, with a chiller sized for 38–40 °C, in shade, with an air path. We say so in the quote.
How much is a sauna in Limassol?
Indicatively €7,100–9,700 for two seats and €9,700–14,000 for four, before structure, electrics, permits and VAT.
